Hello, my name is Diamonddozen and welcome to My First Thoughts – The Blogging Series where I tell you my first thoughts on something.
So I'm a little late to the party, but on Monday, September 21st, 2015, the new series Blindspot was released. I would be lying if I said I wasn't completely excited for the series well before the actual air date. All I was hoping was that the pilot would be up to my expectations.
Plot
Every good show has to have good plot, or they may as well not be a show. Essentially, the plot of Blindspot is that a cop finds a womam in a body bag that was covered in tattoos. One of the tattoos is the name of an FBI agent. The woman has no memory and the FBI agent tries to help her out. The tattoos also double as a map.
To me this show reminds me somewhat of Prison Break, simply because of the tattoo map. Other than that, I can't think of a similar plot line which is a huge bonus for the creators. I love originalty. I also love the fact that it's an interesting plot.
Camera Work
This is going to be short and sweet, but the show is filmed in HD which all shows being filmed nowadays should be. That's about all I can say on that.
Acting
Jaimie Alexander (the actor portraying our Jane Doe with the tattoos) makes the viewer believe she honestly doesn't know anything about who she is. This means she is a regular actor. It's hard to find a tv show nowadays that has poor acting which definitely isn't a bad thing by any means.
Sullivan Stapleton (actor portraying Kurt Weller who is the FBI agent) seems like he could easily fit in with the cast of CSI, Law & Order, or any of those crime show dealios. That could be a feather in his cap towards his acting, or it could mean that he got the idea for the acting of this character from those shows. Either way, I enjoy it.
Did It Live Up To Expectations?
Yes, not like I wanted it to, but I honestly don't know what I was expecting. I just new the show would be good. Normally, I'm not into these kinds of shows, but because the trailer reminded me of a Prison Break with a female protagonist, I needed to check it out. I would strongly recommend you watch the Blindspot Episode 1: Pilot rerun tomorrow if you haven't already seen the show.

Snape kills Dumbledore. This has nothing to do with Blindspot, but I thought you guys might need to know that if you don't already know. As for the actual show I'm "reviewing" there hasn't been enough content to REALLY spoil anything.
