Hello Diamond Miners, and welcome to DiamondBlog: Blogs done the WRITE way!
So as I was searching the blogging section I noticed a theme. The theme was not very ‘good’ or aesthetically appealing. People seem to be blogging the exact same way nowadays. We have weird colours. They are completely random. There was a time when blogging used to be amazing topics and generally amazing structure. Today’s blog is to be about the olden days. I realise it’s an unoriginal topic, but I thought it had to be done.
Blogging Legends
“Back in my day” we used to have some amazing bloggers. We had Greytopher, Oliver Frenchie, Snowylips, Dingousa, Kerrtastic, etc. Don’t get me wrong, we still have some good bloggers they are just harder to find. Anyway, these guys showed PMC what the blog section meant. It meant reading stories from writers that could easily write the next ‘Hunger Games’. It meant seeing interesting and original topics (Diamond this is not you). It meant generally a better place for all. However, once people started seeing these guys (and girls) become famous they wanted in the action. They began to blog about completely random and unexciting topics. They cluttered the blog section with crap. Then everyone began to leave.
I remember reading Greytopher, Snowylips, and Oliver Frenchie’s blogs faithfully. They just seemed to have stopped and we were left with a terrible fate. We had to find more people.
The Rule Changes
The rule changed are what messed up many of us bloggers. We had trouble finding topics that were both original and exciting. It had to be about Minecraft or Planet Minecraft, nothing else. I had so many ideas for new series. Like one where I compare games and bring them together across the multiple communities. However, unless I had Minecraft in every single one, it wasn’t an acceptable blog.
In my opinion this is where the blogging section began to crumble and basically implode on itself. In order to stay in the guidelines people were copying other people’s blogs. It was a mess.
The New Style
I’m not saying the new style of blogging is bad. I’m merely saying that it’s not good. I get that you are trying to create something that looks good by making each section a different colour, but it doesn’t look nice. It’s hard to read, and insanely unprofessional. I didn’t mean for this to turn into a rant, but I don’t like the style, and my entire profile is based on rants.
I know I’m going to have many disagreers (that’s not a word), but I don’t really care. This is my opinion and that’s what the blogging section is about. It’s meant to showcase one’s opinion.
That’s all I have to say about this topic. I apologize once again for unoriginality, but I felt it was a topic I needed to do. Things are getting out of hand. Bring Greytopher back. Bring Oliver Frenchie back. Most importantly…bring the blogging section back.
