Ohh, that’s a good idea! You could also have an option for people to have you assign a song to them, because I think that would be fun- at the same time, making them pick for themselves is less work on you lol
if the song option gets chosen, i will definitely go through my playlist to find enough clean songs to put in the list (id just let people pick whichever one they want to use; I think last time I just assigned songs to people).
okay, uh, this is going to be an odd sort of post, but i just have a simple question do we prefer a good ending or a bad ending?
came up with an alternative to my original ending idea from a few weeks ago, and now im not sure which to use if no one responds, im deleting this post and just using the wheel, but i thought id try to get actual human opinions ig
the book/movie can make me cry as long as it has a good ending, if it has a bad ending then im throwing the book across the room/smashing my tv and will spend 2356872972 hours at a therapist office talking about how that book/movie traumatized me
If your gonna make like a second book that's like a continuation then def bad, I honestly would prefer the bad one :) it would be a bit more interesting cause most books now are really predictable.
the bad ending isn’t necessarily sad, just not very preferable for the main character considering everything that happened to her over the course of a few months. but the bad ending does tie more into the ending of the previous book more than the good ending- the good ending is more like everything was real, and the bad ending is the opposite.
Yeahh, bittersweet is good! You could also give people a choice, good ending or bad. Or if you want to make children cry, being an author is one of the most legal ways to do it :D
why’s it got to be so hard making or even finding a pfp to use, like it actually should not be this difficult ive used like two picrews tonight already and I don’t like either of them enough to use as pfps, and I literally do not like any sort of media or anything. almost tempted to just use something that someone else made for me a while back, yet I’m not comfortable using another person’s art for me even though im pretty sure i asked for their permission back then
oh, that’s basically a small top hat she’s wearing, and the blue bit on the ribbon is a moon bead. and yes on the right side of the head is a blue hair clip, and a part of her hair (being clipped up there) kind of fades from purple to pink. for other stuff you didn’t ask about, she has a small black horn that fades into pink at the tips. both of her eyes are pink, and you can choose what to do with the ghost (like if you want it to still be over the face or have it floating next to her or something). black shirt with a purple tie and white gloves blue shorts with a gray chain over it black heeled boots with pink lacing, and white/purple striped socks two black earrings on the right and one black earring on the left

picrew is actually a website that stores all sorts of different character creators other people have made (in short) and alright, I’ll have to gather up some other images first but yeah the pm would be easier to use

It doesn't look too complicated at all, but I am having a bit of trouble telling exactly what everything is.. it's looking like she has one of those rag hats but only on the back left side of her head, on her left, and has a hair clip of some sort on the right? It's not too complicated, I'd just hate to get it wrong is all, so if you wanted to give me a run-down of what everything is, I'd love that! I don't know what a picrew is, but maybe that will give me a clearer view of everything, so I dunno.
Also the lore thing is understandable lol, I think I have an idea of the sort of pose I'll do! And making a pm might actually be better than chatting here lol, be less messy X)

I may go for a somewhat relaxed pose, something not too dynamic, but something that fits your main person's personality. And do not you worry about complexity in terms of style, Kay? I bet it'll be just fine :D
So yeah! Just a link to the skin and/or drawings, the more references you wanna provide the better, and a list of important details that really make your persona who they are, as well as personality, speech style, ect. would be amazing!!
uh, hm, I don’t really have very many ideas for it, other than it would probably include either my main persona or an oc, however that depends on what you’re most comfortable with drawing in terms of details/accessories, so like I wouldn’t want to bombard you with an overly complex design to draw if you have trouble with those normally and prefer simple designs. same with background and pose stuff too, that would also depend on what you usually do for those/are most comfortable with personally. everyone has their own skill levels when it comes to whatever, and same with what they like and don’t like in art, so I wouldn’t want to give you something you know you’re going to struggle with right away.

You could get to where I'm almost ready to start the actual thing and change your mind completely, I don't care. I wanna make something you like, so be extremely picky, okay? Oh, that's awesome! That's kind of how my story started- I began thinking of why my character looked the way she did- that's super cool! Alright, that sounds good! And hey, I don't mean to pressure you at all- this is your decision entirely. Make the decision you like best, not the one you think other people will like
i guess in a way, yeah. though I already had most of the characters made for the first one (as I wanted to try writing a book with my skindex/pmc ocs I had at the time and see where that would go) and i just kept making more since then. huh that actually makes a lot of sense. i’ll think about it for a bit first before asking if anyone else would want to read it too or not and I’ll have to figure out how id do it from there

That's pretty neat- writing all of that for 2 years must have given you a lot of time to refine everything, do lots of world building, and define each of the characters! That makes sense. Bear with me here, I'm going to use a food analogy- but can you blame a biggie? ToT There have been food places that will take things off thier menu because no one likes them, but I really liked that food, and I'm sad I can't get more of it. Or, likewise, when one of my favorite creators stops posting. I get that it can be disheartening when you have 128 views and 2 likes on a story, but those two people didn't just look at it, right? They genuinely read your work, and though, "This si good- I liked that." But, that's just something to keep in mind- that's not to convince you, I only meant it as encouragement
before the story started? no, except for two of them kind of (those two had just met before the last book ended). but if you mean before they split up, yeah, though when they split up it was originally eight of them and now there’s ten. yeah I was looking through one of them and i think I started writing these in june 2023. and idk.. I might have to make a wall post asking if people genuinely want me to do that and i might consider it. but the last time I tried sharing a story, people seemed to have lost interest by part two or three of the prologue so i stopped (not like i even finished chapter one or anything for that to even matter..)

I guess, though that wasn’t their original reason for splitting up, i think before it was just that they wanted to explore the regions to see if they could find anything useful and idk I haven’t gotten that far yet, im still figuring out what the gems are used for. im like multitasking determining what happens right now, what happens in like two chapters from now, and endgame story stuff all at once. i have it in a google doc already (it’s actually in two because I’m writing it on one attached to my personal email and then I copy and paste it over to the official doc on a junk email account). though I think it would still be better if I were to share it in a pmc blog because there’s some stuff I would have to change or remove from the original version so it’s better for other people to read. along with probably a summary of what happens before cause this is actually the fifth book in this random series of stories with my ocs-

hm, good question well, I got out of school a while ago so that’s not an issue, and I’m also now on a break from dance, so I’ve just got a bunch of time to myself in the day i suppose it helps having a nice and simple shading style, and using the paint bucket and mirror tools are SO helpful and make the process of making skins so much easier and quicker. similarly, I think the pmc editor also has the clone tool so you can just like copy and paste parts of the skin you’ve already made and put it in other areas too. and I don’t advise anyone to do this, but I’ve been staying up until two or three in the morning just making more skins to post the following morning. but I don’t recommend anyone doing this if they fully value their sleep schedule (I already don’t have one, so it doesn’t make a difference to me). and another tip that I discovered last year is just making multiple skins at once using several devices! it’s really been helping me with making all these skins, especially at night when I have the least amount of time to make these.
kind of yeah probably won’t do anything for it in case I do hit it. I hit 600 followers on skindex years ago so now atp, when I hit all these smaller milestones on pmc, it just doesn’t feel that worthwhile for me to celebrate it. but I’ll still recognize it for myself.
