LOAC: Chapter 10: Lily’s long day Pt.1




They were all waiting. Waiting for Lily to finish massaging Mink’s ears. Waiting to meet her and talk to her. Finally, after a few minutes, she was done, and looked at the remaining fantasy creatures. She then spoke.

“What if everyone gets in a row behind each other and then I’ll meet everyone one by one!” Everyone nodded. They all stood in a row behind each other, everyone fighting for the first place.

Only Werm, Dragina and Missi were willing to get in the last places, they were patient and not asocial. I cleared my throat. When that didn’t help, I shouted. “EVERYONE, STAY CALM FOR CYBER’S SAKE! JUST GET IN A ROW AND STOP FIGHTING FOR THE FIRST PLACE!”

Everyone was silent. They’ve never seen me shout. But it worked. Everyone got in a row, in silence, without fighting. This is the order in which they stood: Harpina, Angelica, Pupp, Monk, Eljari, Jorn, Missi, Dragina and Werm. I then spoke again. “Now, was that so hard to do?” They all looked down.

“Now, don’t be upset now, alright? I just got a little angry. And besides, Lily is waiting to meet you all!” They looked relieved. “Now, Lily. Have fun!” I sat down and went in standby mode, to rest. Lily however was excited. She’s jumping up and down, clapping her hands.

“Oooh! Finally! Eeeeeh!! Alrighty! Who’s the first one?” She looked at Harpina. Harpina looked back, and tilted her head slightly. She then smiled. “I’m Harpina, Princess Lily. I thank you with my whole heart for saving me.” She bowed, and then wrapped her wings around Lily, who went to stroke the feathers, while muttering “Ooh.. so soft…”

After some time of stroking, she let go and Harpina did too. She stepped aside, spread her wings and flew into the sky, and began flying around the villa. Lily then looked at who was next. Angelica. She approached Lily, and sniffed her. “Your blood smells nice… can I taste some?” Lily tapped on my shoulder. I woke up.

“Hm?”

“She wants to taste my blood, sis, do you think it’d be wise to do that?” I shook my head. “We don’t know the consequences of it. But we’ve got a test subject.. if you know who I mean..” I smirked. “Should I get him?” Lily and Angelica nodded. I went inside, and down the ladder into the lab, to get him out of his cell. While I was inside getting the ex-butler, Lily spoke to Angelica.

“What’s your name, and what are you?” She asked. Angelica would smile. “I am a demon mixed with angel, little one.” She patted Lily on her head with her left wing. Lily gently grasped the wing and felt its texture. It felt like a bat wing. She started stroking her wing. Angelica’s demon tail began to wag wildly, making everyone behind her take a few steps back.

Meanwhile, I came outside dragging the ex-butler. “Here he is, Angelica!”

Angelica looked up and licked her teeth. “Oooh…” She smirked excitedly, and approached the butler, whose expression was terrified. But Angelica didn’t care. She just came closer with her wings spread. She then lifted him up, pulled him closer to her mouth, which had sharp teeth and fangs. She placed her fangs on his neck, and pushed them in, resulting in a small gasp. She pulled them out, and did it again, but slowly so he was completely silent. She then pulled out, and slammed them in, resulting in a loud scream. Blood began gushing from the wound, and she began drinking and sucking it up.

“Hmmm…” She said. “Definitely very appetizing.” She then pulled her fangs out and let the blood run free. She licked some of it up, and some she just let go to annoy him with bloody garments. Meanwhile Ruby went inside to get the first aid kit and treated the wound.

“Alright alright.. This is enough… Angelica, stop it.” Ruby said. Angelica nodded and stepped away. “So.. I learned that I can bite in painlessly…. painfully.. and just in between…” She muttered to herself. She then took off into the sky, flying towards Harpina and flying with her. Ruby dragged the ex-butler away, for support of a wall, and then shouted

“HARPINA!! ANGELICA!! GET OVER HERE PLEASE!!” They flew down and landed, both their heads tilted with curiosity. “You two each get permission to slap him.” Ruby said. “Oooooh!!” Harpina said. She approached him and gave him a hard slap on his cheek. He didn’t even flinch, he was too tired.

Then Angelica’s turn came. She jumped, did a 360 in the air, and gave him a hard slap with her tail, giving him a nasty scratch on his already sore cheek. He flew sideways , knock-out. She flew away again with Harpina, giggling. Ruby shook her head and chuckled.

“Mischievous little creature…” She said. I chuckled along. Ruby went to task a servant to bring him back inside and I then turned back to Lily. The next fantasy creature approached her; Pupp.

Pupp smiled at Lily. “Hey there! What was your name again?” She asked. “I’m Lily!” Lily said, giving Pupp headpats. Pupp looked over the moon, and her tail began to wag. Her tongue stuck out of her mouth, just like a wolf or dog who was enjoying something.

“You’re so warm..” Lily softly said and hugged Pupp. Pupp chuckled and wrapped her arms around her.

“Ruby is raising an amazing daughter.. I can see that…” She wrapped her tail around her as well. Lily loved it. She began petting her tail which led to Pupp purring like crazy.

Eventually, Lily stopped. “Pupp, I’m sorry to say, but you have to let go… I want to meet the rest of the fantasy creatures..” Pupp nodded, and let go.

Lily smiled and gave her a little head-pat again, and then turned to the next fantasy creature, Monk, who was looking at Lily with big eyes of wonder.

“H-hello Lily…” She said softly while blushing. “I am forever grateful for you saving us…” Lily smiled and hugged her. “Thank Daurine.. without her we wouldn’t even know..” She smiled at me.

Monk also looked at me and looked thankful. “Thank you, Daurine.. without you.. I wouldn’t be able to see this beauty.. I wouldn’t even know this beauty existed…” I smiled. “No problem..” Monk then broke free from the hug and made her way over to Mink.

Now, the next person came to Lily. It was Eljari, the first fantasy creatures who I met. She looked nervous. “U-uhm.. Hi Lily.. how are you doing?” She nervously asked. Lily smiled. “I’m doing excellent! What about you… what’s your name?”

“M-my name is Eljari.. and I am doing alright!”

“Awesome!” Lily began stroking her hair. Due to not having showered, it was rough. “Oh my,” Lily said, “You really need to shower… everyone does…” She looked for Ruby. Ruby was at the wall, leaning against it. “Mom?” Lily asked.

“Yes, dear?” Ruby replied. “Can you get everyone who has met me a shower or a bath? I feel like they should enjoy being clean.” Ruby nodded. “Lemme see.. Mink, Monk, Eljari, Elyrantha, Harpina, and Angelica.. they already met you right?”

“You forgot Pupp, Ruby.” I said. “Alright!” Ruby replied. “PUPP!! COME HERE!!” She shouted. Pupp cleared her throat, she was standing a few meters away from her. “I am right here, Empress Ruby!” She said with a smile.

“Oh! Oops!” Ruby chuckled, her cheeks slightly blushing. “Well, you’re here. Now, allow me to ask you a question. Would you prefer a bath or a shower?” Ruby asked. “Can I ask a question? Actually, two questions?” Ruby nodded.

Pupp then asked her questions. “What’s a bath, and what’s a shower?”

She asked it as if she had never heard of it. The fantasy creatures around us also seemed interested in what a bath and a shower would be. I didn’t look surprised. They were born in a lab where no one cared about them after all.

Only Elyrantha didn’t look so surprised. She probably knew what it was. I asked her. “Ely? You know what a bath and a shower is?” Elyrantha nodded. “A bath is a tub filled with warm water. A shower is a tiny room where a thingie with holes is, where warm water emerges from, to wash yourself.” I nodded. “That’s correct.”

Elyrantha smiled. “In my world, we bathed in blood.. we drank blood.. water was nonexistent.. only blood… but in this world… there’s water… and it’s great! I can drink some water and not get thirsty for a long time! Blood gets you thirsty much faster than water….” She explained.

Pupp shivered. “Blood.. don’t get me thinking about it… I almost got the desire to have some…” She said. She then turned to me. “But Daurine. Show me the shower and bath, please!” She looked excited. I nodded. “Of course! Follow me!”

I said and began walking inside. Pupp followed with her tail wagging with excitement. I went to the bathroom and she followed, and opened the door. I stood at the door and kept it open for Pupp to come in. She walked in and looked at the bath. “Is that the bath Elyrantha was talking about?” She asked while she walked over to it. “There’s no water in it..” I chuckled.

“There’s no water in it because…. if you were to put water in it and kept it there, the water would be cold after a few hours and stinky after a few days because of the bacteria that grows.. that’s why we empty them, and refill them when we have to use them again.” I said. Pupp let out a “ahhh..” and then said “I get it.. otherwise you get sick!”

I nodded. “Exactly. You get it.” I smiled. “Now, here’s my next question. Do you want to take a bath? Or a shower? Or maybe you wanna try both?”

“I wanna try both!” She said excitedly.

“Alright! First, I will let you know how to use it.” I tapped on a lever. “Warm water comes from here. Like.. boiling water.” I tapped on a lever next to it. “This one is the opposite. Ice cold water.”

Pupp interrupted by pulling the lever for the hot water. She let some of it run on her hands. Humans would’ve burned their skin badly. But not Pupp. She probably could swim in a volcano without any issues. “Ooh, this feels nice and warm…”

I looked at her, dumbfounded at first but then, she is half hellhound so it’s pretty logical. “Uh… with the shower, it’s the same.. pull the lever with the red stripe and you get warm water… also.. I have a question…” She had already stepped in the bath -because she and neither of the fantasy creatures had clothes, they could step in it without taking clothes off, they never got clothes from the ex-butler.

Pupp looked at me. “What’s your question?” She asked. “Well, since you can probably swim around in a volcano without any issues.. do cold things hurt you?” She nodded. “Uhmm.. not really because I am so hot the water around me just heats up…”

“Aha… and if you stay in cold water for too long?” I asked.

“Then, the fire in my tail dies down and my tail feels numb, i feel cold and bad, i get grumpy and angry really fast, and to get the fire back i simply have to set it on fire again with a flame!” She said.

“But what if you’re angry?” I became more and more curious about her.

“Then most of the water dissolves into gas and some of it actually cools me down.” She replied. I then asked another question, going further in the topic. “If I were to throw water in a bucket at you when you’re angry, would it dissolve?”

She nodded. “Got tested. That’s how I know. It’s also how I know what happens when I am exposed to too much water.” She sighed. “I’m glad I got to burn his finger… it was fun..” She chuckled, and I chuckled along. “You mischievous little creature…”

I gave her a headpat. “Have fun bathing and showering.. oh- and.. if you want clothes- no, you need clothes because people will stare at you if you walk around like that… so i’ll give you clothes right now.. wait here..”

I then went to Ruby. “Mom?” I asked. “Do you have any clothes for Pupp? -And maybe the rest of the fantasy creatures?” Ruby nodded. “Yup! On my bed are all the sets, with names!” I thanked her and went into her room. I found Pupp’s set, an orange T-shirt and some normal pants. Underwear I won’t go in, but it is included. I went back to Pupp, and gave the set. “There you go! Have fun now!” I smiled, and closed the door.

I could hear Pupp say “I will!” Before she filled the bath with warm water and stepped in. I went back downstairs, back to Lily and Ruby.
