The TIE/ba Baron Space Superiority Interceptor also referred to as the TIE Baron was a TIE interceptor model utilized by the First Order during the Cold War between the First Order and the New Republic and Resistance. The TIE Baron was equipped with advanced technology the First Order employed in its more high end Starfighters. The TIE Baron was equipped with a hyperdrive for increased operational range as well as 4 wing tip laser cannons and projectile launchers able to fire mag-pulses and concussion missiles while also utilizing and experimental flight computer. Major Elrik Vonrey personally assisted in the enhancement of the older Imperial TIE Interceptor to the modern standard that the TIE Baron holds. The interceptor was finished in a complete red color scheme to denote the pilots superior skill similar to how the First Order's TIE/sf has a red stripe to denote special forces.
