The recipe system in Minecraft felt lacking to me in the sense that there isn't much to do with it apart from it's base utility of I need thing so I must get specific other things for crafting thing.

At its basics this pack tweaks nearly every single vanilla recipes, most can now be crafted in the 2x2 grid.
Some recipes have been evened out to not have loss in crafting.
Most every cosmetic variation of a block can be changed back and forth hopefully with ease.
The stone cutter has been expanded. The furnace, blast furnace, smoker, and campfire all have more recipes.
A TON of new crafting recipes to add alternate ways to make resources and convert some things into other things.
Every item within the Survival version of Minecraft has a crafting recipe tide to it now.
Nearly every recipe I have added has an advancement tide to them as well so that they can be unlocked organically through gameplay.

General Recipes Changes
Changes:
-Every in-game item, apart from technical ones has a recipes assigned to it now. More Bells, no Command Blocks
-Tags: "fishes", "stone_crafting_materials", and "stone_tool_materials" have been expanded
-"fishes" now holds to other tags, Raw fish have their own tag, and cooked fish have their own tag
-Both "stone_crafting_materials", and "stone_tool_materials" have all the stone variants added
-Way more "items" tags have been added to be used by my pack, but are also sort of meant to mimic vanilla's way of grouping items using tags. They are meant to be used by other people who would like to use them. Otherwise they only affect my pack directly.
-Item "groups" have been altered to lump similar items and materials together as well as added groups to items that didn't have them before
-Tools, weapons, armor and many more items and blocks will be lumped into one recipe drop down you can cycle through
-Every recipe that makes sense, or at least doesn't feel cheesy to do so have been made into a shapeless recipe. This means that the parts of a recipe need no shaping in the recipe table and can just be tossed in.
-Arrows, Wool from String, every "block" recipe, Bread, Paper, the Stews, and many others.
-One exception is that Sticks are a shaped recipe at a diagonal, imitating the vanilla texture.
-This was to not conflict with plank slab recipes converting back into planks
-Most general item recipes. Such as Boats and Fences can now use any variant of their base block. Acacia Planks as well as Acacia Plank stairs; Stone Bricks as well as Chiseled Stone Bricks
-Most every Block with variant types can all be interchanged between each other. Prismarine to Prismarine Bricks to Dark Prismarine back to Prismarine and so on
-Every block that is made up of parts can be uncrafted back into it's parts mostly. Brick Blocks back into Bricks
-Wools are now interchangeably dyable. Meaning you can have 1 Red Wool, 4 White Wool, 3 Yellow Wool, and make 8 Green Wool
-The same dyable concept has been spread a crossed all dyable blocks. Glass/Panes, Terracotta/Glazed Terracotta, Concrete/Powder, Beds, Carpet, Candles, Shulker Boxes
    - Beds, and Shulker Boxes require a 1 dye to 1 item output, whereas the other dying recipes are one dye to 8 items output.
-Undying recipes added to Terracotta, Glass, Candles
-Wood recipes now output 4 wood logs as apposed to 3
-Stair Recipes now only require 3 Blocks and make 3 Stairs

-All Minecart Rail Recipes now output 18 respective Rails
-Recipes that use Glass can use any Glass
-Recipes that use Wool can use any Wool
-Recipes that use Terracotta can use any Terracotta

I do plan on at some point downgrading to the previous Minecraft versions so there's a version for each Minecraft from 1.13 and onwards. Right now I'm focusing in 1.17 and upcoming 1.18

I am also totally fine with my recipes/advancements ending up elsewhere in other packs if you feel they fit in or already cover recipes you wanted to add. Just make sure to lend me credit for the files used and if you're nice link my pack. My pack's intent is to cover any and every recipe that feels like it would fit in "Vanilla" Minecraft as well as neat ones that fit the gameplay outside of Vanilla feel.
