Remember that skin/shading tutorial I made a while ago? Let's redo it!
So, you want to create your face first? Let's get started.
First you'll want to outline your eyes. I usually also draw in the whites and fill in the color I want for skin to get started. The pale skin color I used here is #fffcfa.
Here are some colors I usually use! I like to use more orange-y tones because they're very warm and pleasant.

This is how I shade my faces. First you'll want to add a blush in the middle, which I usually make the same size as the eye whites. I try to make my faces look as realistic as possible. I like to keep the forehead and mouth area light and the sides of the cheeks and forehead dark. Make sure to hue shift! There are plenty of resources online, but my favorites are these two.
Next we're going to pick our eye color. This should be pretty easy if you know what you want to do! For this tutorial I'm going ot go with this pretty sky blue: #95e0f4
Here's a little guide on shading in general!
Shift red to orange if you're highlighting and shift to purple if you're shading.
Shift orange to yellow if you're highlighting and shift it to red if you're shading.
Shift yellow *very slighlty* towards green if you're highlighting and towards orange if you're shading.
Shift green towards yellow if you're highlighting and towards cyan if you're shading.
Shift cyan towards green if you're highlighting and towards blue if you're shading.
Shift blue towards cyan if you're highlighting and towards purple if you're shading.
Shift purple towards blue if you're shading and towards red if you're highlighting.
It can get pretty confusing and these are only basic colors (you can also shade a subtle blonde towards a desaturated purple, etc) but it's pretty useful most of the time!
Now that we have our new shade of blue, we'll shade our eyes. Since our outline is already a purplish navy blue, I think it fits pretty well with the eye color.
Then I usually like to make a shade of grey that is tinted with the color of the eyes. This color, for example is a steely blue-ish gray.
Now that we're done with our face, I like to prepare for the hair by adding ears. It's just the palest shade of skin with blush on the ends.
