This resource pack changes the word "Sherd" into the word "Shard."

The word Sherd always left me with a sour taste, so I made this lightweight resourcepack for you!

If you have any questions/problems, let me know in the comments, or in my discord!

Thank you for downloading!

I know it's a real word that archaeologists use but it just feels so weird to read as a simpleton person.

Also wouldn't it be funny if someone made a resource pack to change it to shart?

Introducing unfamiliar words into a game like this helps to improve the vocabulary of children and introduce them to new concepts through language. I'm sure there's alot of people who learned about things such as lapis lazuli, pistons, obsidian earlier than they would have if they didn't play Minecraft. I was definitely one of them.

So no, a 5-year-old would not normally know what a sherd is. But a child who sees this different word in-game will question it's origins and ask someone about it or look it up, and whoever is involved is likely to learn something new. (Though I do admit that this can be muddied a bit by some of the fictional aspects of the game. It seems to have worked nonetheless for the examples I mentioned earlier though)

I think that's a wonderful thing, so I am not against the use of unfamiliar words within games like Minecraft.
