  • A long time ago, an Aumakua makes a midnight call to all the natives of the island, warning them that if they reject the offer made by the gods, the future of the island will be dark. Only one native manages to hear the message and goes to seek Aumakua, the man disappeared that night; it is said that makeo appears at night to watch over the natives, help with the farming and heal the sick natives.
