Hi Everyone!
I'm back again after a rather long leave from Minecraft, and i have finally finished this project.
This has been a true labour of love, and at the same time a really challenging project. But after a whole lot of work on the details i think i can fairly confidently say: She's finished!
I don't think it's the best Victory on here. I also don't think this is the most detailed one. But i believe that the combination of 'player-sized' and 'interior space' make this build a unique one here on PM, and provides the most realistic 'Victory experience' to your in-game character.
I tried to make Victory as accurately as possibly, but also took a few liberties with the interior space. Although every single bit is completely authentic to the time-period, it might deviate slightly from the actual HMS Victory.
On this build there are also a few tricks and ideas that i used for the first time, among those:
- Hammock netting using fences and trapdoors.
- Mainchains using actual chains connecting to levers (i really like this one myself).
- Using Grindstones as pullies and blocks.
- Using doors as interior dividing walls. This way i can create far larger interior spaces like cabins and storerooms. It really helps when your walls aren't a meter wide.
- A brand new way to implement the customary skylight for the great cabin.
- I was also really helped by the addition of lanterns and barrels to the game.
I am currently in the process of making renders and a video that i will upload in the near future. However, if you are a skilled render maker, and you think could make a decent render of this project, please contact me. My render making skills are sadly very lacking.
As always, the download link containing the map and the resourcepack are provided.
Guys, please let me know what you think, after all this time i'm dying to hear your feedback. If you like it, please hit the diamond button :)
Cheers!
