Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP)

Chernobyl's reactor 4 exploded on the 26th of April 1986 at 1:23 in Moscow Time, The reactor exploded because of various reasons. First off, they had pressure building in the core of the reactor. Second, The reactor was operating under low power, so the water input was low minutes before the explosion, that was its flaw, the input of water was increased or decreased depending on the output the reactor is making. Third of all, the reactor's safety equipment was disabled for a test, to see how the reactor would run under low power. Finally, they had lowered the control rods in the reactor, this caused a rapid increase of heat in the top of the reactor to be so high that the reactor melted down and built pressure in the core causing the output to rise to 30,000 MW. Eventually the pressure made the reactor to explode.

dude just so you know it wasnt a power plant it was a NUCLEAR power plant thats how it became abanodned because the reactor blew up
