    Questions about the Group

    What is this group for?
Our mission is to find active members of the community who have no subscribers or friends. We then encourage our followers to befriend them and ever befriend them ourselves.

Anyone is welcome here, whether you are new to PMC or have been here for years!
    How do I join/help out?
There are multiple ways to join our group, the first is to post in the guestbook. The second is to privately talk to ShadowOnTheLoose or Trotelot. (Or maybe the other members who would be able to reach them)

As for helping out, give us ideas for who to support! Even with multiple people we still won't be able to find every underrated creator! Let us know who needs friends or support!

    Questions about PMC

    What is PMC?
PMC, short for PlanetMinecraft.com, is a minecraft fansite originally created for sharing skins, mods, texture packs, builds, and more, but has now grown to it's own sort of community!

Anyone is welcome here, whether you make art, skins, mods, textures, builds, music, stories, or more!
How do I make a skin?
You can make a skin by going in PMCSkin3D, which can be accessed by pressing the text "Minecraft" and pressing PMCSKin3D under Tools.

You can then pick Lite or Advanced. Lite is more similar to the Skindex editor, which is another skinning fansite.

As for making the skins, you can check out these helpful tutorials!

    How do I add images?
(Note: you can only add images in wallposts, blogs, forums, descriptions, profile page widgets, or a few others. You cannot add them into replies, or comments. However, you can still just send the image's link to get a picture across)

    1. Getting the Picture Link

First off, you need an image hosting site. A popular one that is easy to use is postimages.com

To use postimages, press Choose Images to select a PNG, JPEG, GIF, etc, from your device. Another option is to copy and paste the picture by copying something and pressing CTRL and V at the same time while the website is in use.

Then, copy the image's direct link. Not the link of the webpage or the link labeled "Link", but the link labeled "Direct Link"

Another image hosting site is imgur.

    2. Adding the Image into PMC

After copying the image's link, you should find a button that looks like a picture in the toolbar.

After clicking the button, you should be represented with a white box. Paste the image's link into the first text box.

You can then change the image from its original size by changing the Width and Height, just make sure to turn off the Autosize first by pressing the blue checkmark next to it.

The lock next to the Height text box chooses whether or not the image has the same shape as it had originally. Usually, it is kept locked, but you can unlock it for a more distorted image. You do not need to worry about the lock if you are using the image's original size or plan to keep the original shape when resizing.

How do I add an embedded link or tag someone?

How do I add an embedded link?

First of all, copy the link to the thing you want. This can be an image link, a webpage link, a youtube video link, whatever you'd like.

Then, you should find a button that looks like a link/chain (🔗) in the toolbar.

Press on the button. You should find a box that pops up. Paste the URL into the first text box, and write the text you want to have the link in the second one.

Note: if you paste the link before writing in the text, the link will automatically fill the second text box. You can simply erase the link in the second text box or write the text to display first.

You can also add the embedded link by selecting certain text and then pressing the link button. The second text box should already be filled with the text you just selected. Simply paste the URL into the first text box.

The second method is what I personally do, but you can use either method.

You can remove an embedded link by either,

    1. Erasing all the embedded text or

    2. Selecting the embedded text and pressing the second link button next to the first one, which looks like a link/chain (🔗) with lines.

    How do I tag someone?

Note: You can only tag someone if you are using a PC. You cannot tag people on phone, I-pad, or tablet.

Tagging someone will send the tagged person a notification, while simply embedding their username with the link to their profile will not. If you cannot tag but want the tagged person to be notified, you can ask for anyone to.
Ae: @Angelonsher (can someone tag her for me?)

To tag a person, type in the @, then start writing their username (no space between @ and username)
Continue typing their username until you see their username appear down below. Click on it, and they should be tagged. You can also just finish writing their entire name, then press space.

Note: If you do not write in the entire username and then press space, it might tag someone with a username similar to the intended person instead of the intended person!

If you successfully tagged someone, the @ symbol should change into a sort of earth symbol. Ae: Angelonasher
How do I add YouTube videos?
You can add YouTube videos by pressing the image button (the one used to add images) but instead of putting an image link, you put the link to the YouTube video.

Note: this feature does not seem to work with YouTube Shorts
How do I make a group?
Note: There is an official Groups Group that could offer more information!
Note: You must be level 10 or higher to make a group.
Note: You can (currently) only make two groups (per account)!

On the options under the Planet Minecraft logo, you'll find "Community." Press it, and the third option under "Socialize" will be Groups.

Pressing the Groups button should bring you to the main group page, where there will be a button labeled "Create Group"

At this point I can't really help you as PMC isn't letting me check, but you should be able to do things such as make the info widget of your group, make the group name, make the group class, etc.
How do I make a Jam?
Note: There is an official Jams Group that could offer more information!
Note: You must be level five (5) or higher to create a Jam.

At the options below the Planetminecraft logo, there will be an option called "Community." Pressing "Community," you should find "Jams" as the first option under "Entertainment."

Pressing "Jams" should lead you to the Jams page, where you will find a button labeled "Create Jam."

Pressing the button will lead you to the Create Jam page, where you will be able to fill in info such as the Jam's title, description, custom url, type, start/end date, accepted content, etc.

Note: Please keep in mind the site rules (linked at the top of the Create Jam page) when making any sort of content!

Prizes are often neat ways to encourage people to join, which can be some sort of art to display in their profile, a custom skin/art request, etc. You can choose to have participation trophies, or to only give prizes to the winner(s), or to have no sort of prize at all!

Note: Offering a prize of spamming any amount of diamonds/hearts/likes or requiring participants to subscribe to you on any platform is not allowed or encouraged!*

*(This was said by DinowCookie on the event calendar under "additional rules/guidlines", which has been replaced by Jams, but I'm assuming the rules still apply!)
What if I have a question that isn't here?
Feel free to ask any questions in the guestbook! Also feel free to reach out if you need more details explaining something :)

Same goes for questions about this Group as well!
