Hi,

Since the recent launch of my CFTs as the Minecraft Skins Jam, I'm happy to present my showcase of pixel art trophies created for the occasion! ^^

What's more, if this event is appreciated, I'll be looking into the possibility of organizing other seasons, each with its own new set of unique trophies!

First
Place
Trophy Showcase - CFTs as Minecraft Skin Jams

This trophy is inspired by cards ranging from legendary to mythic. It often features a crown, symbolizing the first place. Therefore, I decided to depict a king with his sword and royal attire. My biggest challenge here was, I think, the hair, which protrudes, although I also struggled a bit with the crown and the hand holding the sword, which ultimately isn't very visible. I believe this is the best result I could achieve.

Place

Since it's rare for characters in rare to epic cards to not have hair, I chose a female character for a change and because it's cute. My main challenge here was the hair, which represents a significant part of the character. I drew inspiration from existing female character designs for this.

Third
Place

Initially, I went for the simplest character, without hair, but I found it a bit empty and basic for the third place, which is not insignificant. So, I simply added headphones, glasses, and a necklace to make it cooler. I had some difficulty making these glasses and the headphones, particularly due to the limited colors I had available, but I eventually achieved a result that convinces me.

Finalist

For those unfamiliar, this is a representation of the PMC coin, the currency used to buy CFTs. I worked on it a bit more to give it a more crypto look, and I rendered it in the form of a medal by adding two ribbons in the colors of the CFT cards.

Participant

I initially aimed to create a fairly neutral and bald character, which represents CFTs quite well. However, I found it too simple in the end, so I made it stick out its tongue, reminiscent of the old participant trophies that all stuck their tongues out. Later on, I added a CFT card at its feet because I found the trophy too small, so I added this extra volume, which ultimately looks very good.

For the banner, if you haven't noticed, I tried to represent the transformation from CFT to Minecraft skin to better represent the contest as simply as possible. On one side, there are the CFT cards, and on the other side, there's a Minecraft skin editing area with a transparent background and a toolbar. I struggled a lot to make this banner, particularly to come up with this idea and reproduce it satisfactorily.

Feel free to let me know what you think!
