When I played Minecraft Java edition, the game usually launched pretty quickly, and I managed around 100+ FPS, now it takes like 30 years to launch Minecraft, or it crashes randomly.
Also, now I only manage around 55 FPS, and I get lag spikes every 5 seconds, which is annoying.
If you can help, that would be good.
P.S. I play on MacOS, if it helps.
P.P.S. I have a few performance mods too.

It's fine now, I have Windows, and I get 500 FPS, quick loading speeds and no lag spikes.
Thanks for the help.

How's your graphics card? Sometimes lag spikes or crashing are due to it.

How about getting to 75

Macs aren't gaming computers

Assuming that the specifications of your computer generally work with Minecraft, if you play with a mod-loader, I would try to test the mods installed one by one and see if there are any problems.

It might also be helpful to check whether your anti-virus software, especially ransomware protection, is affecting Minecraft in a certain way.

In your ".minecraft"; directory there is probably also a "crash-reports" and a "logs" folder after a crash, maybe you can find out the reason or source of the crash here.

I hope it helps you, or at least gives you an idea of what the error could be.

Thanks.
Nothing in the logs folder though.
I do have performance and speed mods, no anti-virus though.
It has gotten a little better, tbh, but by about 10-%.

Hmmm... Which Minecraft launcher do you use?
Depending on how it is possible in your launcher, it might make sense to create an installation without mods (i.e. vanilla) and use it for a while.

- If the problem no longer occurs, it is probably due to your mods. In this case, I would actually check each mod individually to see if it is causing the crash.
You may also need to allocate more RAM to your modded Minecraft installation. How this works also depends on your launcher.

- If the problem persists, a faulty graphics driver could be the cause. In this case, it would be advisable to reinstall it. It is also recommended to check your hardware and temperature in a task manager if possible.

Thanks.
I already allocated more RAM, and I have not much left, I did play vanilla for a bit, but the same happened.
Also I use the real launcher.

Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with MacOS, as I only use Windows and Linux Mint.
So I can't tell you whether there are any other game-specific settings for Macs.
If everything seems fine with your mods and drivers, maybe your system is just too old.

You could try turning down your graphics settings. From the Main Menu, go to: Options > Video Settings.
Try to set the following values low and test again:
- Biome Blend: OFF
- Graphics: Fast
- Chunk Builder: Threaded
- Smooth Lightning: OFF
- VSync: OFF
- Mipmap Levels: 0
- Render Distance: 8
- Simulation Distance: 5
- Max Framerate: Unlimited
- Clouds: OFF
- Particles: Minimal
- Entity Distance: 100%

Also try to experiment with fullscreen mode or windowed mode.

If your performance gets better, you can try to increase your graphic settings again.

Hope this helps.

I do those, and nothing happens.
Also, my system is not that old, only like 8 months.
Ty for the help, tho.
