Well hopefully this tutorial can fix that!
There are 3 steps when building interior in minecraft.
1.) Clearing Out
2.) Framing And Walls/Roof
3.) Furnishing
1.) Clearing Out Inside
First you will need to clear out the inside. This means deleting all blocks inside so you have a fresh area to build in.
All That Junk Is Gone!
2.) Framing And Walls
Now that you have a clean slate build up the frame using the log of your choice. After you have a log frame fill in the walls with any block you chose ( I'm using spruce wood ).

3.) Furnishing
The final step is to add furniture
