Since 1.8 pretty much removed metadata and stuff, all the blocks in this build have been changed to the default ones which means it's all just bricks ands snowblocks. I might come back and make this place with normal textures but that's probably not going to happen :P
Seventeenth Century
Is known for the Dutch Golden Age and the (start) of the Baroque movement. And probably many other things that I do no know about. Recently I found a seventeenth century atlas, which inspired me to start this habitable fortress.Start Fortress
These type of fortification was seen after the invention of gunpowder and cannons. Since cannons could easily destroy vertical walls, star forts were made out of sloped walls that would lower the damage from cannon fire.Another improvement was getting rid of 'dead-zones'. One part of the fort was supposed to cover another part and vice versa. This left no places to hide for attacking forces.

Because of 1.8 and changes to how texturepacks work, I'm not sure about when or if the creative pack is going to be updated.

It's been a while, but the church is there! There are only a few things left to finish at the church, such as most of the exterior and possible a graveyard/garden.
Also finished some of the less important backyards/gardens.

(That, and besides, you can't have too many star fortresses).
Riminds me of Empire Total War... British Empire FTW!!!
