This project is preview and stand-alone of the RP-World (look at text's end for link). This temple is one of the former big five old Egyptian temples. The temple is 100% finished and has an inside.
RP-History
Each of the big temples stand in the capital cities of their nation, because Egypt were five kingdoms once. The Osiris Temple stands in Thebas, the former capital of the south desert. A long time ago the southern kingdom was destroyed by Romans and other Egyptians. Especially Thebas was attacked and destroyed many times in short periods. Just the cities’ temples survived, because of a magical shield. Around 100 years ago, after the Romans conquered all Egypt, the complete south desert province was abandoned. The Osiris Temple has become unimportant, because most Egyptians believe in their regional most important gods and since the fall of the south desert, Osiris is not worshiped so much anymore.
The construction
The temple’s optic was inspired by „Deir el-Bahari“, a necropolis in the old Egyptian Theben (today Luxor). It was clear that the south desert was in need of more structures; especially more ruins and temples. We planned to create a small or medium sized ruin city somewhere, but we did not build it, because the northern desert seemed more important. Then the contest on planet Minecraft was made official and we had already published all of our remaining temples of the northern desert as preview, so we decided to pause the northern desert and start a new temple somewhere in the south desert. Because of the already existing Alpes and northern borders it was not easy to find a place for this temple. We found a place between the Alpes with a small but fine river. Then we looked for real Temple and found Deir el Bahari. We overtake the name for the river (Luxor) and the city (Thebas) from the real. We started with a scaffolding at a well place. The building was originally supposed to be around half of the area and did not come over the bridge, but it was just too small. So we created a bigger area and came over the Luxor. First, we thought about filling the river with sand and dirt, but this was just awfully, so we created a canal that looks well. The rest was instinctively build. At end we set the command blocks and traps into the necropolis and filled the chests with loot. At least we cut the temple of the world and imported it to a super flat world and translated the signs and loot into English language.
There is a book (in German and English) at beginning where you can find all information you will need to come through the necropolis.
