For my second post, present you the National Museum of Fine Arts, formerly known as the National Art Gallery, but is simply called as the National Museum. Designed by Juan Arellano and completed in 1926 during the Commonwealth Era, it was originally planned as the National Library but it ended up being the home for both chambers of the Congress of the Philippines, before it became the National Museum in 1998. This building is considered the finest and the epitome of neoclassical architecture in the Philippines prior to the Second World War. It was reconstructed, however, its sculptures, bass reliefs, pilasters and ornamentations especially on the façade were never reconstructed.

This was my second build after my Malacañan was burnt. This is the reason why I no longer rebuilt the interiors of Malacañan. I started building during the last days of December 2014. I then stopped for a while before resuming in February 2015. I almost finished it by March 2015 complete with interiors, with the exception of the ground floors and courtyard gardens. It was in the same map as Malacañan. This time, I had accuracy in mind. The floor plan of the National Museum was available online so I just followed it. However, its exhibit rooms where all made up by me because some cannot be replicated with blocks available in Minecraft. By this time, I am still honing my building skills that is why some rooms do not look exactly as the real thing. Also, I was still experimenting with blocks then other than the usual wood that is why most of its interior is made of wood even though it’s made of non-flammable material (concrete) in real life.

Unfortunately, this map was lost forever after the Minecraft PE on my mother's phone was deleted. I was still playing with her phone back then. Fortunately, there were some screenshots that were saved that enabled my build to be immortalized in memoriam. I hope you like it and please, do share your comment on my build. This helps a lot.
