Medieval Ship | Venetian Carrack "Forza"
The Forza was inspired by the carracks of the late 15th and early 16th Century that made up a large part of most navies from the mediterranean to the baltic sea. Imposing fore- and aftcastles plus an unprecedented amount of cargo space made the carrack a valuable ship type both for war and trading operations.

"As the large ship slowly turns its bow westward, filling the main sails with a strong wind, the sailors take a last look back at their home. Oh, San Velano, city of palaces, full of life in the day, dark and mysterious at night, when the fogs start creeping through your alleys and canals. They know, after all, whatever hardships are waiting on their way, when they return the azure and white banner will still be flying over the doge's palace while a great feast awaits them and their gained riches..."
~ a San Velanese poet, CCA. 1301
