The land of Jothos is a bustling, medieval world, where magic is present but the great spellcasters of the past long forgotten. To the North lies the desert of Sirith, bordered by the great city of Kaspia. But the Kaspians soon fell into decadence and a lust for power grew in their hearts. First they conquered the region of Vermicia, followed by the grand plains of Elderis, when Talathol castle fell. Then the Aghor Province, across the Tower Mountains, surrendered after a long and bloody war. And finally, the southernmost town of Sapprine fell to the invaders, and domination was theirs.

For centuries, the Kaspian Empire has mercilessly ruled over Jothos. The Emperor, Errel, governs the once free lands with an iron fist, and until now, rebellion seemed futile.

But times have changed. Great unrest shakes the Eastern highlands. The fortress of Cargath has fallen to the rebels. Farmers, philosophers, men and women from diverse cultures and ideologies, set aside their differences with one common goal: overthrow Errel and restore freedom to Jothos.

However, Errel is powerful. In a desperate attempt to crush the revolution, he calls upon creatures of evil; servants of darkness; cruel and terrifying mercenaries who know no fear: the undead.

In the midst of it all, you, a young peasant from the southern town of Sapprine will prove to be crucial to the rebellion and the overthrow of the Emperor. Explore Jothos, grow in power, fight enemies, and make your way to Kaspia, where Errel awaits you on his throne.
