This is a complete 1:1 replica of what we believe, from resources, the town of Carrickfergus would have looked like in 1690. It includes perceived reconstructions of local landmarks such as Carrickfergus Castle, Joymount Palace and St Nicholas Church
This build was commissioned by the Carrickfergus Museum, in Northern Ireland . The Museum intend to use this scheme in conjunction with STEMAware to provide an attractive historical awareness of their local area, for children visiting their facilities.
I personally created the whole map in Late March/ April over the course of 2 weeks with roughly 60 hours logged.
