I'm late to this, but my birthday because I always have to share it >:(
ya thats terrible
Totally Halloween. There's never been a "Halloween Break" from school, that's all I'm saying.
By the way, side note: "Trunk or Treat" is unironically a sign of societal decay.

Hey Everyone
Holidays gives people time to themselves so I wouldn"t encourage the removal of any holiday

None of them. All of the holidays are important in there own way.
but Halloween is dangerous and voting it off will make the world safer
I'm curious. What do you mean by "dangerous"?
it's the time of year where child kidnapping occurs most
plus there's ppl who put stuff in the candies
plus there's ppl who put stuff in the candies
Where's your source for both?
just actually going trick or treating
I never knew anyone who got kidnapped but there r ppl who remind everyone to be safe w/ facts I just sent
also look at my post for when it was Halloween cuz something was in my sour patch kids

i never thought of halloween like that O_o
Oh, I never thought about like that. I always enjoyed it as a spooky fun holiday. But you are right. All of those things are terrible.
I will agree I love being able to do spooky fun stuff but there r more dangers in halloween than there r fun at this point

None, 'cause they're all good, but Thanksgiving ranks at the bottom of the list for me, so if I had to choose, then it would be that one
If this poll had more holidays tho, I'd vote for President's Day lol

who tf would want to remove their birthday?
ppl who needs hugs
COME ON PEOPLE!!!! WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE HALLOWEEN?!?!?!?
Halloween is the most dangerous time of the year
True, people should be a HECK of a lot more careful with their children around Halloween. They should at least have check-ins, or at least a text confirming they aren't kidnapped/ dead.
yk ppl r too stupid to be more careful
Why would we keep it?
Because I like the idea of my birthday being close to it.
because its basically a celebration of death, etc.
Oh yeah, and can we talk about those recreations of horror movies people put up on their front lawns that traumatize small children?

Actually, Halloween was a ritual to ward off evil spirits. That last bit sounds a bit fun actually. Maybe not traumatize them, but at least set up some FNaF scenes?
If that's the case, why do we celebrate it?
And no, it is not fun to make 5 year olds cry.

according to the Library of Congress, it's partly because the 31st is the eve of All Saints Day, when we honor the dead, and the Celtics believed that, on Samhain (which was on November 1st), the souls of the dead returned to their homes, so they would wear costumes and light bonfires to ward off the evil spirits
it's just that, like Christmas (a day meant to honor the birth of Jesus), it's been commercialized nowadays and the original intention has kinda been lost

Not 5 yolds. I would find it fun to get ambushed by an inflatable Foxy. As for why we still celebrate it... Dunno man. People want an excuse to get candy? Get children out of the house?
yes, but some people do put up graphic decorations as a direct result of the holiday... thus, some small children will be exposed to that stuff... Heck, I don't even like seeing that kind of stuff...
and as for still celebrating, there are many other things to celebrate... I dont know why halloween is the one that was chosen...

Agreed
New Years I would say, because as far as I'm concerned it basically doesn't exist.
just say that to anyone in Asia and they'll pummel you to death.
It's like saying Christmas doesnt exist in western countries

Our country doesnt even celebrate thanksgiving
Its pretty much an American holiday (other countries only celebrate because of the harvest season, but halloween takes that mantle most of the time).
And not everyone lives in the USA

In México, we only celebrate Christmas and New Year, Halloween is called "Día de muertos" and there aren´t very much birthday party, here we only buy a cake and sing a birthday song called "Las mañanitas" with ñ

I mean i'm European, so if i'd remove thanksgiving i wouldn't notice a single difference, since we don't celebrate it here.
