because i never really trust microsoft, MSFS 2020 had alot of issues when it came to their launcher and updating BS, also i always keep auto updates off cause sometimes some updates break shit. anyways i'd stick with mojang for as long as possible.

Yes, but the new launcher is not good.
I get errors when I open the new launcher.

I've never had any problems with the old launcher.
That's why I'm using the old launcher again.

I/We use a mix around here. The 10 BE launcher, the java launcher- updated to whatever it is, android stock from gplay and MClauncher.

MClauncher gets used most so that we can swap versions and logins on our own servers which cross play all.
The restrictiveness and "realmy virtual room stuff" increases so we recoil to our own as preference and convenience.
For the times that web play is wanted, we can, but mostly our own environment.

I said this before, but the new launcher is undeniably bad.
It's a huge downgrade compared to the old one.

Lots of things got removed, like:
- The ability to quicklyswap between multiple accounts
( by adding alot of them into the launcher and quickly change between them )
- "Historical" tab as well as all its releases,
- All your existing profiles and modded releases will be gone
- Some mods cannot run on the new MS Store Launcher, so it lacks modding support for Java.

Lots of new inconveniences too:
- Xbox Live is now on by default when Minecraft Java turns on, and its mandatory,
which is only an inconvenience as MC Java does not need Xbox Live to be on at all.
(Could affect game performance badly, haven't tried that yet, I instantly closed the game after realizing this fact)
- The existence of the new launcher causes the old launcher to enter some kind of force eject mode, where it would force the game to crash if it sees that the new launcher is active.
Uninstalling the new launcher fixes this problem.

As for the "new and improved" bit:
- The only new thing about this it is that Bedrock's finally added to the new launcher.
- UI is basically the same, or worse, as the logo is basically the old logo,
but alot smaller, and looks really bad.

My rating on Microsoft's Launcher: 3/10. I hope all the old things are brought back.
If they're not going to change the UI or anything then at least bring back the old stuff.

kinda dumb calling it a "new launcher" when its almost the exact same thing, just with a "play bedrock" option.

No if its not mandantory im not downloading a new launcher just for bedrock edition which i dont even play.

Nope, seems to be completely pointless unless you've got Java and Bedrock (Minecraft.net says it doesn't give free Bedrock although some people seem to think it does)

I just bought java edition and this thing comes, its so annoying haha i have to install an app to install an app seems so stupid
