Welcome to Minecraft: Age of Theia!
This pack is currently in an indefinite hiatus, as the computer I was developing it on has died. It will be updated once I get around to recovering the data.
This pack takes us back 4 billion years into the past, to the ancient planet of Theia.
As legend has it, Theia eventually crashed into Earth, and the debris that resulted from the collision coagulated to form our Moon....
Since Theia was gone slightly before you were born, you never got a chance to visit... until now!
Theia
The Theia you'll get to visit has all of the same blocks, biomes, structures, and amenities that will eventually show up on Earth in Overworld 4 billion years later, however there is of course more....
For starters, the noise settings have been improved, resulting in higher landscapes:
Natural lakes and islands are nicer too:
Trees are 25-50% taller on Theia:
Quartz is available before visiting The Nether, as there are Ancient Ruins scattered about (in birch_forest, forest, jungle_edge, sunflower_plains, and swamp biomes):
And the nighttime view of the proto-Earth, long before life, land, or anything else formed, is spectacular:
And much more to come... currently considering Airships...
Earth
Yes, of course you'll be able to visit Earth and say you were there before you were ever born.... but it's pretty inhospitable. It's a cavernous wasteland made fom Lava, Blackstone, and Obsidian, however it's rich in minerals...
Traversing the space between Theia and Earth hasn't been implemented yet, but the path will most likely lead through The Nether...
Earth's geology is pretty neat at this early stage as well, with Noodle Caves and new Pillar Caves (shown here from Spectator Mode):
Veins of Diamond and rarely pockets of Netherite can be found deep within the rock:
This project is really just getting started! There will be much more to come...
Stay tuned!

It's hard to work often on something I already made while I still have so many ideas lol... but I loved the pack and I do want to finish it, so it'll definitely happen eventually :p
2005 was a long way away, but I remember thinking that, once it gets here, I can watch them whenever I want lol...
