I build because the ideas inside my head are screaming out and wanting to be seen by others. Every day, it takes me about half an hour to walk about 3km to and from school. In that time, my mind switches off to what I call “passive mode”, in which I just let my thoughts and ideas run wild. For the 7 to 8 or so years that I’ve been doing this, my mind have created so much ideas in which I think some are pretty awesome. These ideas are varied from movies about the planet suddenly getting attacked by a swarm of elephant-piranha hybrids, songs involving Elvis and Michael Jackson doing a duet, to stories in which I have created 2 worlds already, my really WEIRD characters, theories revolving around time travel, to myths about the unicorn that’s kidnapping ships in the Bermuda illuminati triangle and so on. I COULD write all of this down and sell it to some producer, but I’m not interested in getting rich.


 


I build projects – you know, the planes and the vehicles I’ve made because I’ve been a military geek since was a kid. Don’t get me wrong, I may be a military geek, but I don’t generally support war. I have these ideas flowing in naturally. Some of them are pretty sweet and practical, to some are more….. “unique”. I get these ideas and bring them to life in Minecraft. If I think the idea is pretty awesome, I go ahead and make a 3d Model of it. Those that have, I sometimes use for my design projects (because why not?). Once I get out of college in like 10 weeks, I’m thinking of going to a Design school, or maybe go to AUT, Idk, I still haven’t decided when everyone in my class already has XD Well, this year is more of an optional year, I decided to stay behind because I like to finish what I started c:


Anyways, I plan on becoming a concept artist/animator/environment designer. These ideas that flow in kinda made me decide on these courses.


Speaking of environment designer, I like to build maps because I wanted to create the worlds that I have envisioned in my circuits up there (brain). Since I haven’t touched the tablet/pencil for a while, I ended up using Minecraft to build said worlds. Although I haven’t done this in a while, the worlds are still there. The eternal summer night, not too cold, not too hot. The cottage next to the lake under the starry skies while the eternal lantern festival goes on in the distance are still there. School work, time and other things are kinda slowing me down on building these worlds. Thankfully (or not thankfully), I only have a few more weeks until my 13^th year is finally over c:


 


When I said WEIRD characters from earlier on, I meant the characters I have created from the story concepts that I have created over time. Being the lazy me, and the fact that there is only so much free time in my disposal, said characters are not being drawn. I end up making skins instead. These skins ARE the characters that I have created.


 


When I said “story concepts” I have created many, but from the stuff I’ve decided that are somewhat pretty cool, I have about 7? 2 of which I am working on at the same time. One of them is based on Deviant Art, I call it “Vanguard”, my MAIN concept that I have decided to animate (this is gonna be a long process) and hopefully it become popular enough that some people will decide to join in XD
My second concept is based here, on PMC. It revolves around CC, I’ll call it “The League” I write stuff up about the League using Story blogs. (Yes, that means the Legion and the Alliance and stuff, that’s all part of it!) I’m not much of a blogger, since I’m rather bad at English. I got the D on my last English exam (That’s what she said). English isn’t my first language but hey, I do try. I get these ideas for a blog, but for the most of the time, I don’t think it’s best to post them here in PMC, since… well, from my knowledge, there are kids in here (like 12 years old), and I don’t think it won’t be appropriate, or the majority won’t understand. Let’s be honest, if I post my theories about time travelling, who would understand? And no, it’s not as simple as “Oh I go back in time, I do stuff and the when I go back to my time, the future is different”, no! It’s different. It’s a little more complicated.



Minecraft and PMC are wonderful things that I’m glad I have found. I don’t have the desire to make money from the things I do, nor do I desperately want the subs, diamonds, favs etc from the things I do. Though, I am VERY thankful and I appreciate those that have. I do what I do because I enjoy doing them. It may not get popreel, it may not be the most liked (diamond’) stuff out there, but I still do it for the sake of wanting to do it.


Now the question is, why do you do what you do? What are your reasons for the things you do here in PMC or in Minecraft in general? It can be as simple as “because it’s fuuun”
