Okay so we're all looking for a good quality server now and then.

I search and search to find a great server with awesome people, great creations, etc. And one day, I found one. Lemme' tell you, it was the best I had ever been on. The people were so nice and actually spoke to you! Even if I was just a beginner (noob if you would). But when I started building they had so many rules to what I couldn't and could do. It irritated the heck out of me and I tried my best to follow them. You got one square of land. No water allowed. No trees allowed in the city grounds. You couldn't leave the city without letting someone know. And then, one time the server was majorly griefed (even all that protection couldn't stop a troll so why bother having it) and they did a rollback. Well I lost everything. So that was the end of it for me.

I began my search again. Like the other one, found one with really funny and sweet people, and it was well maintained. I tried breaking a block and this appeared- You do not have permission to do that. Boy do build rights drive me insane. I understand what their trying to prevent, and I'm just sharing my opinion, but UGHHHH. I didn't even bother because to get build rights you have to go take a survey, donate, etc. <- Basically, I'm broke and don't have a lot of time. Bye bye to that server.

Once again, I looked for a server. Found one (like usual) got in there and almost cried. I really hate those "test" beginning things. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, you have to read all of the rules and then take a test. Which again, I understand, just couldn't they simplify the rules just a bit? The walls were COVERED in signs and I swear it was a 15x15 room. That's a little ridiculous is it not? And if you "accidentally" miss a rule, and you go to take the test, you'll have to start all over. It's just.... So annoying.

Okay guys, so basically this was just in my opinion so I would really appreciate it if you guys don't slap me in the face with why I'm wrong and stuff, but your opinion is opened so please share... Just say it in a nice way? :)

My From from school "bob" has his own server, we have our own ranks based on haw much we play (4+ hours is OP for example) we freely add and remove plugins, we are at times put on creative mode for building challenges everyone knows each other, and there are only 10 of us, so greifing isn't a problem. So in my opinion you should probably get a group of friends and start your own server......... or go on lethal tactics ( look it up) is freebuild with great protection and fun mods who talk and will fight you in pvp, and usually hang out. Good luck with your "rule" problem. Also good luck with you photography hobby, my mom, dad, sis, and myself all really like photography if you want to edit/fix up your photos i know a few good programs, respond if you want their names (its about 2am now, so i cant get the names).sssssssssSSSSSSSSS.......BOOM *meichrob was killed by a creeper because his post went on too long*

this is why truly public servers dont work. If you know everyone who is on it, you dont need rules, but if it goes public, you really have no choice.

Frankly, I do have to agree with this. I find that many servers seem to be nice and happy and welcoming on the exterior, but belie what in reality is un-necessary overly-complicated rules and structure, much of which only gets tangled up under foot. Again, I agree with you :3
