Minecraft 1.6 and above made me quit Minecraft for a few months. I feel as if Jeb and the ret of Mojang, are taking Minecraft in a direction that Notch and players didn't want. Minecraft was all about building, have a good time with friends, and survival. But lately, Jeb has been adding in some odd stuff. Horses were actually pretty fun, I can't really think of a reason why that would be something to be angry about. But adding command blocks? I understand that it's one of the best things that ever happened to Minecraft in terms of adventure maps, but it kind of takes out the "finding a way to make this spawn." Although some people might be saying, "MOP! SHUTUP, EVERYONE LOVES THE UPDATES!!" That my friends, is not entirely true. A lot of people I know, have quit Minecaft due to the direction Jeb was taking the game. I personally, liked the way Notch was making the game, rather than Jeb. I dont hate Jeb, I just think he should ask the players once nd awhile what they want in a game. A lot of people I know want sea creatures, I know it would be a semi difficult animal to code into the game, but a lot of people have been wanting this in the game for a very long time, and Jeb has kind of brushed it off and decided to make skeletons shoot faster. I like how that in servers, you choose what happens,, not all the updates effect your server. You could get plugins to make your server act like it's still in alpha stages of game development. Dispite all my ranting here, I like a lot of the things that Jeb has put it. Increing the amount of bone meal needed, is a little bit more relistic than what it was befoe, it adds more of a challenge to the game. I think Mojang did a wonderful job on fishing in the updates we've had. But in update 1.8, using comand blocks to pop in text on the players screen, is a good and bad ide. A lot of servers are probably going to go to crap because of abuse of this feature, but that's not really Mojand or anybody's concern other than the owner of the server. It's going to be one of the most helpful things in making Minecraft maps. But, if I've heard correctly, there is going to be halograms?  I think that's crossing the line.
