Hello! This is BriiMoomi, and I decided to submit a 'minedea' for the contest! I've always wanted a mod that could turn your player into a mermaid - or.. mermine. Or minemaid.. So here's my submission!

I was thinking about a mod called Mermine mod, which turns YOUR Minecraft player into a mermaid, with (obviously) a blocky fish tail!

Some items that I thought about that could be in the mod:
Magic Pearl (Found in dungeons in the sea, quite common and can be used 10 times, not crafted, only found. It is used to turn you into a mermaid, but you must be in the sea/lake or water to activate mermaid mode.)
Emerald Pearl (Made of emeralds, as the name states.. Crafted like an X in a crafting table out of emeralds, is like the Magic Pearl, but can be used 30 times.)
Diamond Pearl (Crafted like the Emerald Pearl but with diamonds, does the same but can be used 50 times.)
Sea Shell (Just used as decor, can be found on beach biomes or in the sea, sort of common but not too common.)
Giant Clam (Opens and closes, you can step inside it, and it will lead you to the sea, right clicking on it with a dye will change it's color. Rare, and can only be found in
Neptune's Tridant (Basically a giant fork used as a weapon.. it's colored light blue, and gives enemies 5 hearts damages each time you use it. You craft it like a diamond sword, but replace the bottom stick with another diamond.)
Mermaid Costume (Just for fun, you can wear it on land but it doesn't do anything when you swim.. it also looks like its made of wool.. because you craft it from 9 wool (any color, it will change the color of your tail) like a diamond block, just with wool.)

Now, onto the main part of my idea..
The mermaid tail will appear as any random color when you use the pearls. Green, Blue, Pink etc.
It can only be used in the sea, using it on land will cause it to disappear, and you will be your own human character again. When in water your arms will move in a swimming type of way, like you're swimming in real life.. but as a Minecraft character. In water, your tail will move slightly up and down like a fish, or a dolphin or anything like that.
When using the Mermaid tail you will swim faster in the water, and won't sink. You can tame squid and let them follow you around, by right clicking on them. You can also talk to them, in chat there will be a name called Squid for every squid, and it will say a little line such as "I'm looking for a leader, may I follow you?" or "Hello, I am Squid!"
There is also natural spawning underwater palaces in some seas, they are rare and Neptune lives in them.
It would also add Atlantis, a giant kingdom underwater with coral lights. There would be new food, grilled squid or cooked squid.. maybe more types of cooked fish, and grilled coral..

I was also thinking about adding mobs, like these:
King of the sea, (Neptune) Harmless, and lives in underwater palaces, sits on a throne.
Evil Squid (Harms you when you try to tame it, is recognised by its reddish color.)
Mermaids (Just some more mermaids under the sea, but quite rare, they talk and follow you too, like the squids.)
Squidzilla (Giant squid, ignore the name.. I was thinking of Godzilla.. the Squidzilla is harmful and will do 4 hearts damage each time it hits your character.) (It has a red color, and can swim 2x faster than a squid.)
Fish (As the name states, just fish that swim around.. such as Sunfish, Clownfish, etc.)
Underwater Cows (Cows.. that live underwater. They are blue and have gills on the sides of their heads, there are also underwater pigs and sheep like that, blue, with gills.)

I hope this is original, I searched around and found no mods like this. I made up the ideas (Except from the mermaid part, those are just creatures that the human race made up.. or they could be real, I don't really know.) Anyway, enjoy guys! :D Subscribe for more!
This may sound like something a young child made up.. but I think it's a pretty fun idea. x3 It would be cool if I could make this, shame.. I can't make mods D: I will learn soon though! :D
