Hello, and welcome to my interview with MoonAstraea! She is a fun skin creator and a lover of the galaxies and stars, and is also known for her fun and enjoyable posts and involvement in the community. x She is a friend to many and a delightful addition to the site. :) I hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in purple; her answers are in blue.
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. I was sorta inspired by my brother making them, on our computer, years ago. He would make them with paint.net, but I found that I didn't do well with 2D, and wished there was a way to make skins in 3D. After that, I discovered Skindex and made an account, which I used to *attempt* to make my own skins, haha. I was so happy, because I could finally make skins in 3D instead of 2D!
2. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
2. I actually do have a persona, or at least, a skin I consider my persona. I was inspired to make Moon/Mooniium from my recent obsession/love for galaxy themed things (also from my love for hoodies). I ended up making her, after searching far and wide for the perfect skin to use, but alas,
I couldn't find it. I then decided to make my own skin, which I currently use as my main/personal skin.
3. What is your favourite submission (that you have made)? Your favourite that someone else has made?
3. Ahh, very good and tough question to answer. I *technically* have two favorites, but my most favorite is Plex from “Yo Gabba Gabba.” My favorite submission made by someone else would have to be g a l a x i e s by Mellie.You can probably see why, but yeah, it's so beautiful and out-of-this-world!
4. What are you most confident about when it comes to making content?
4. I'd say I'm (generally) most confident about titles. There are times when it's a bit difficult to name my content, but overall I don't find it too hard. This question probably only needs one answer, but why not throw in another thing I'd say I'm confident about, as well. I'm pretty confident about writing descriptions too, if that counts for anything.
5. What is your favourite PMC feature? Your least favourite?
5. Great question! My favorite feature would have to be PMCSkin3D, because of how easy and efficient it is, for making skins. It's better than the one
on Skindex, in my opinion, and what I had always wished Skindex's editor was like. My least favorite feature? Hmm, probably doesn't count as a feature, but, I do find it a teensy bit annoying that we can't delete threads we've made on our own.
6. Do you have an inspiration (either for making skins or in real life)? If so, what do you like about them?
6. This might be strange, but, my biggest inspiration would have to be galaxies. I like that they are full of colors, they have a certain beauty that can't really be described, and I love them so much.
7. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be to, and why?
7. I would love to travel to Paris, France. It's the city of love, and I've always imagined drinking tea, on a balcony, with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.
8. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
8. Some advice I would give is that nobody is perfect, we all have to start somewhere, even if it takes time. Your first submission may not be the best, but, all that matters is you tried, no matter what anyone else says. If you need help, ask, there's always someone who would be willing to help you if you need it. Always keep trying, even if you get discouraged, take a break, and try again when you're ready to. One that note, if you ever need to take a break, or more than one, please do so. Your emotional, mental, and physical health is much more important, we will be here when you return. Don't force/push yourself too hard to make something others like, it can be harmful, and cause you to lose inspiration and/or motivation fast. Overall, if you ever need anything, I'm always happy and willing to help. :)
9. Do you have a current goal for your content? If so, what is it?
9. I'm not the best with setting goals, though, I do want to try my best to dobetter on everything I make. I really wanna get to the point where I can make skins regularly, and have a consistent upload schedule, which could take time to achieve.
10. How would you describe yourself in three words?
10. I would describe myself as caring, loyal, and empathetic.
I care about other people, generally more than myself. I strive to be a loyal friend and person, I'd never leave someone behind for someone/something else. I'm empathetic by how I can read others emotions, tell how they're feeling/feel how they feel, and can empathize with them, even if I've never experienced/went through what they have before.

Can you interview me sometime?
At the moment, I have a very hectic schedule in real life so I may not be able to, but I’ll certainly consider it. :)
