Hello, and welcome to my interview with crayne! She joined PMC in February of 2020, but has already become a lovely member of the community and a talented skin creator. ♥ She is also a sweet and lovely person who is an encouraging friend to many. :) I hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in dark blue; her answers are in turquoise.
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. What inspired me to start making skins? well, a couple years ago, i got really into playing minecraft, but i could never find a skin that felt like me. so, i decided to search for a good way to design myself some! i found skindex, and i started officially making skins in october of 2019, both for myself and others.
2. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
2. Do i have a persona? yes, i do! i like to imagine what i would look like in an alternate universe or something, as if you could design yourself like you design an avatar, and either draw / skin it as i imagine it! heres my most recent persona!
3. What is your favourite submission (that you have made)? Your favourite that someone else has made?
3. What is my favorite submission? it's probably my most recent one actually! i'm really proud of the colors and shading of it! it's an fs for Kawaii (for skin fight), and here's the link!
my favorite submission by someone else is probably something that i requested from DevilsOfLaPitufina, which is based off of my favorite painting, starry night! here's the link for that
4. What would you consider to be your greatest accomplishment (either IRL or on PMC)?
4. What is my greatest accomplishment? i don't have very many 'skinning' accomplishments, but i am very proud of the fact that i have made many great friends (m a k i, ImJustHereAgain, DevilsOfLaPitufina, and TippidyToppidyjust to name a few x3), and also that i am both a moderator and 'verified creator' on the Minecraft Skin Hub discord server, which has 1000+ people!
5. What hobbies do you enjoy IRL?
5. Some of my hobbies are reading (mostly mystery /horror novels), drawing (mainly digitally), swimming, and spending time outside! a lot of my extra time is spent skinning, but now that it's summer, i'm happy that i'll be able to do more of these things more often :)
6. Do you have an inspiration (either for making skins or in real life)? If so, what do you like about them?
6. Do i have inspiration for making skins? yes, i do! a lot of my skinning friends (previously mentioned) are really talented, and i honestly look up to them a lot! xwx
7. If you could add one feature to PMC, what would it be?
7. If i could add one feature to PMC, it would probably be more interactional features, like the little collectible pets. maybe adding more pets, awards, and things that will encourage people to spend more time on here!
8. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
8. A piece of advice that i would give to any new PMC member would be: i know that this site can be really complicated and confusing (it sure was for me), but the longer you spend on here, the more used to it you'll get. also, make sure to try and keep your page updated and organized!
9. Do you have a current goal for your content? If so, what is it?
9. Although i know that followers aren't everything, my current goal is to get to 1000 followers (on skindex)! i'm not super active on PMC, and i really only repost skins from skindex onto here, so i'm not too worried about followers on here. another goal of mine is to start commissioning skins! i'm not quite ready for that yet, but i hope i will be someday soon x3
10. How would you describe yourself in three words?
10. To describe myself in three words, i would say: organized, professional, and.. maybe- friendly?
