If you want, I could give you a TON of tips, but I feel doing it in the comments could be a bit much. You want a letter with some help on it? I'd give you some basics on how to draw people, but going from there you'd want to develop your own style by learning off other people's drawings and practicing. Shading is also something I could give you the basics on, but it's something you kind of pick up yourself after a while.

The way that I learned is copying from an original (Not tracing) of multiple different art styles/characters then stop looking at references and try remaking the character freehand style. Then slowly over time the art styles kinda just morphed together for me.
