Perspective is a funny little thing, but can be a serious issue. Those who've been admins or moderators know this, even PMC mods I bet you, but not just them perspective takes place everyday and everywhere for everyone. I'm not going to bother to bring definition into this, well at least this time. Of course, all the time perspectives clash being someone else's point of view not agreeing with yours.
Minecraft example time~
Say, you may think you're doing the right thing by moving said items in said chest upstairs, but the other person thinks the items are best downstairs, you both may be too stubborn to agree on it so there goes a perspective clash.
Now how does this affect PMC?
All the moderators on PMC have probably faced a situation somewhat similar to this,
"oMG Y LIK dID U BEN MEH I DID NOTHING WRONG, YOU KNOW WHAT, I DON'T CARE I'M GONNA SUE YOU, AND PMC. AND WHEN I WIN, ULL BE SORRY FOR BENNING ME. UNBEN ME NOW AND I WONT DO IT."
The person believes they did nothing wrong, their perspective is completely wrong from the moderator's perspective who sees that what they've done IS wrong. (and possibly laugh at them)
Or
Possibly, you're on PMC messaging a friend and you both get into a quarrel about say, which Youtuber is better. Easily a situation where perspective's clash.
Perspective isn't a bad issue though, through it can bring some genius ideas for the website, Minecraft, and many other things. The way you look at things can drastically affect how you go through daily life, and how you deal with problems that arise. Although, sometimes you need to look through others' looking glass, or try to put yourself in their shoes so you can make a better response and overall stop things from escalating to unneeded points.
How to improve your decisions
- Put yourself in the other person's shoes
- Put in consideration others' feelings
- Try to avoid making anyone angry
- Don't type like your raging if you get banned <3
