I havent named this system yet, but the star is a red dwarf and the gas giant is made from oxygen, and not hydrogen.

the story is that this red dwarf actually started out as an orange dwarf, but encountered a black hole, which took some of its mass and it downgraded to class m red dwarf, but because of the trajectory of which the mass was being pulled in, managed to break free and escape.

just so you know, this takes place in the far future, and scientists did find that a star did escape the grasp of a black hole once, and it was the one in the center of the milky way.
