My experience with New York winters

sometimes winter makes me sad. You think global warming is a problem? Well in new york, our summers sync up with florida’s temperature, usually about 81-97 degrees Fahrenheit, and our winters are getting colder and warmer faster and slower and crazy and winters are getting really unpredictable.

one day we had school (my older sister was still in 12th grade) and mom went to take out the trash. She could hardly breathe. Apparently it got too cold suddenly. Why? IT WAS -5 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. The school issued a 2 hour delay but mom kept us home for the day.

my one prediction, considering how close to freezing the temperature gets each morning, i believe that this winter will be southern Ontario, Canada and an early spring or something
probably wrong tho

I predict we'll have colder winters and hotter summers due to climate change
since a couple years ago we had an ice storm here in oregon that affected half the country

Well right now our temperatures are moderate. If it were Florida the wood stove would be on, but it’s near 🇨🇦 so we don’t need it yet

one tiny little plug in heater has been heating the house better than the actual furnace and this little one actually warms my room unlike the actual furnace so i like this little heat soldier

I have been in Soviet Union many times, the New York cold is warm compared to warm weather in the USSR...

I already know that

what i dont like about NY is winter is unpredictable.

at least the USSR winters were predictable

As I know, that also happens in other states on the USA and in some Mexican states, including Mexico City (where I live in), and yeah, living in Mexico City I can tell you that weather is also unpredictable and weird, sometimes it's super cold (but not as much as in New York) or extremely warm (28-32° C).
PD: Normal temperature in Mexico City all year is between 18 and 24° C

Wow, I didn't know you lived in New York. That's pretty cool! Have you ever seen any Broadway plays like "The Phantom of the Opera"?. I actually saw it in the summer of 2006, back when the movie was really popular.

my grandma always complains that she gets like 3 feet of ice and a inch of snow. where i live we have winters that feel like summer
