Australia!
Australia is New Zealands closest neighbor! and New Zealand would fit into Australia 28.6 times. The area of Australia is 7,617,930 square km, whilst the area of New Zealand is 268,021 square km.
Yet Australians still atempt to steal things from us! (And Fail!)
First it was the pavlova, then Phar Lap and Russell Crowe, now Australia is claiming pineapple lumps! What Next? Fish And Chips?
Now it appears Australia is trying to lay claim to the humble pineapple lump.
Australia's Sunrise TV programme offered the lollies to British boy band One Direction among a sample of Australian delicacies, alongside Vegemite and Tim Tams.
The Sunrise hosts described Pineapple Lumps as "an Aussie delicacy - in Queensland".
Band member Zayn Malik appeared less than thrilled with the confectionery, saying "it's reasonable, it's OK".
However, Australia has again wrongfully staked a claim to a Kiwi invention - created by Oamaru confectionery factory worker Charles Diver in the early 1950s.
Oamaru's Rainbow Confectionery, which took over the Regina confectionery factory where Mr Diver worked, continues to make Pineapple Chunks.
General manager Ray White says Mr Diver created the recipe for Pineapple Chunks when trying to find a use for products left over from other confectionery.
"We do export this product back to Australia so I don't see how they can claim that they're theirs," he told NZ Newswire.
Cadbury-owned Pascall also exports its Pineapple Lumps to Australia.
Meanwhile, One Direction member Niall Horan found Vegemite was not to his taste - when Sunrise gave it to him on toast he quickly spat it out into a tissue. Fair Enough it does taste kinda crappy...
Australia needs to get there own things I mean they have beautiful landscapes and nice food so dobn't steal ours!
Aussie has tried to take:
Pavalova
Kiwifruit
Pineapple Lumps
Jandals
Sheep
Russell Crowe
An Iceberg
What Next?
Will they try to sell us? Oh Wait To Late!!
An Australian man tried to auction New Zealand off over the internet, starting at just one Australian cent.
Six thousand hits and 22 bids later, New Zealand was still a real estate bargain at $3,000.
But it is a joke Foreign Minister Winston Peters could not take.
"I don't think it's fun. I think that kind of nonsensical stupidity, I'll leave to the tabloid media," he says.
The posting said the country's highlights include "the dodgiest America's Cup win ever...and very ordinary weather."
The man trying to sell New Zealand, an Australian living in Brisbane, would not appear on camera but says he has been to Auckland once and did not think much of it.
But before the country could be sold off, Daniel Feiler of ebay Australia says the auction was pulled.
"We have over 1,000 trust and safety people looking at the site and key areas, and clearly New Zealand isn't for sale."
Australia Get Your Own Stuff!!
And don't even get me started on The Under Arm Incident!
