In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, I present the USS Washington BB-56. I built her depicting her appearance during the night battle against Kirishima.
This was a fun and surprisingly quick build, the hardest part was the hull with how the torpedo protection is shaped as well as the armor belt. If you've seen my previous build post of the drydock then you've seen I also made a rusty/dirty version for that. Hopefully I'll have a Japanese battleship making an appearance on my page someday, we'll see ;)
