I play bedrock, I thinking about getting java in the future
I prefer Java, for a few reasons, but I play Bedrock sometimes.
However... technically speaking, bedrock is often a better built game. Yes Java is more stable BUG-WISE, but Bedrock performs way better than Java due to being written in a more modern language. So, if your laptop is a potato, you might wanna go with Bedrock simply because Java is not very optimized.
