Story time!
(Based on events which occurred an hour ago in my survival world)
There he stood. Satisfied. After spending two days back and forth in a cave while a storm ravaged outside, Trot had successfully transferred two striders from the Nether into the Overworld. He had built them the perfect haven- a little slice of a blue biome; right underground in the overland. Trot said his goodbyes the sweetly sad faces of the striders and set off to his home.
It was built just outside the cave which the Nether portal was located in.
The sun was finally on the rise, and there was a strange grey haze in the air. He could hear the monsters dying as they burned in the light.
Trot was walking steadily down the path when something caught his eye. He had a nearby pen of 7 sheep, 4 cows, and 3 pigs- except two of the pigs had been zapped into zombie pigmen. This perplexed Trot immensely and he gave multiple yelps of surprise. Assuming the lightning storm he’d heard while in the cave had created this disaster, he approached the pen and observed the pigmen closer.
Then- BEHOLD! From the heavens, another bolt of lightning struck down in front of Trot and 4 armed Skeleton riders emerged from the electric current. Scared out of his wits and realizing all of his iron armor was nearly broke, Trot made the fastest 180 you’ve ever seen and bolted to his house whilst an arrow from a Rider struck his heel.
Grabbing some smoked salmon from a barrel, he regained his hunger and ripped his pitifully broken armor off while he created a battle plan in his mind. He wasn’t worried about the sheep or cows, but for the well being of a single chicken named Henderson, who was tied to the pen. Trot repaired all of his armor and prepared for war. He came to the conclusion that sword combat wasn’t smart, as he risked accidentally hitting the chicken.
Then he remembered.
He ran upstairs, through his bedroom, and into the study. He selected his trident and enchanted bow from the armor stand (weapons he only used for extreme situations).
With the great power of distance and archery, he fried two of the skeleton horses, and finished off the loose skeletons who were now disgracefully running around his front lawn. After they were dead, he slew the pigmen, which were now angry at him for some reason.
Henderson was safe at last.
Yes, this actually a happened an hour ago. Yes, I did this all for a chicken, don’t judge. Yes, I actually just wrote an ungrammatically correct short story about it. I know stuff like this happens all the time, but this was my first experience with it in my world. It was hilarious. Now I have completed my Strider sanctuary that no one asked about, and I am the proud owner of two very slow skeleton horses. Lol.
