i used optifine and uploaded the texture to the recourse pack folder and all it does is put the texture on the trident and dosent change the model. is this incompatable with mac book because i have a macbook

In case you haven't fixed it yet: turn on custom entity models in optifine

idk if this is a problem on my part or something is wrong with the pack but when i run it the trident spins like normal but the trident has no color and is completely white. i have optifine HD U G8 pre11. i really like this and i would love it to work.
