This is a resource pack I have spent about two months on now. I am decently proud of it, as it is one of the first things I have properly finished. What inspired me to make this, is the texture on the side of the furnace. Look closely... Do you see it? It is a smooth stone slab, sandwiched under a cobblestone slab. And I loved it. But I hated the outline though, enough to make this resource pack. So, here I am!
This resource pack replaces the Furnace, Dropper and Dispenser texture with smoother, more integratable ones. The base texture for all of these is a stone slab on a smooth stone slab, with the defining features added; with exception to the Dropper, which looks like the Beta 1.8 [and prior] Dispenser (with the angry eyes), as I like that texture, and I don't think it should be forgotten.
Now, I have absolutely no clue what ever you might be thinking right now, but I know at least SOME of you must be thinking "But wait, can I use this slab-slab texture for other things without worrying about others interacting with it?" The answer to that? You can't.
HaaHAA, you simpleton fool, you thought I was serious? I'm not that mean, so I made sure you can use it. You can craft the filler block (suggest a name change?) by simply placing the corresponding slabs in the right order for the block into a crafting grid. Unfortunately, the recipe does not show up in the recipe book, or the creative menu, so you do have to craft it in creative mode, hence the recipe being so simple. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIMENTAL GAMEPLAY ON FOR THIS TO WORK.
What I have done, is I've replaced the old Stonecutter texture with the "filler" block (bah, that name don't sit right) so you don't have to worry about any conflicts. Now, since Mojang removed the right-click function attached to the old Stonecutter block, you don't have to worry about sneaking and placing! It's like a normal block!
There are some other additions in this resource pack (as you can see by the pictures), but not too much. This resource pack was initially going to be a personal resource pack, but I thought I might refine it and publish it, see what the public thinks.
I am open to any sort of criticism, so I can improve the resource pack and your experience. I am thinking of re-texturing these, as the recipe for the Furnace, Dropper and Dispenser call for cobblestone, also making another re-texture for the classic textures. But, there's no point doing it if nobody wants it, so leave your opinions and suggestions PLEASE.
Thanks!

IOS & Xbox One:
- Apologies to IOS and Xbox One users, but it is actually very difficult to do this; Even harder on IOS.
It is possible though, I just do not know how.
To use the resource pack, go to "Play," click the pencil icon beside the world and click the "Resource Packs" icon. On the right, click "My Packs." A drop down menu will appear. Find the Smoothly pack, click it, and click Activate. This can also be done with the behavior pack.
Alternatively, you can activate the resource pack universally in settings, so the textures will be replaced across all of your worlds.
