Hello good people of the interwebs! I present to you the Rougher Crops resource pack!

Have you ever been annoyed by how repetitive crops are when you make a large field? I know I have (I created the pack after all)! This pack randomly rotates the crops to break up the repetition. It is compatible with other resource packs provided they don't modify the model files or the blockstate files of the crops.

I hope you enjoy! :)

Oh, and if you want to use this in your resource pack, go for it. As long as you provide credit you are welcome to use or modify the files as you see fit. That being said, please don't just redistribute the pack; and again, enjoy!

Go nuts! I only really care if someone steals my work. If you use my models and provide credit or just create your own, I am perfectly happy for you to do whatever you want with it.

Hi, I was looking to modify the angle of the models, but changing the value of rotation from 22.5 to a smaller value ends up giving me the missing texture instead of the modified model... Is there a specific fraction of a circle it has to be, or can you only rotate blocks in certain amounts? 45 degrees does work, but 11.25 gives me the error model for some reason (as does every other value I've tried).

This is a great pack, and it is working fine by default, but I was looking to tweak it a little if possible.

The rotation variable can only go up in increments of 22.5. This can not be changed without modding the game unfortunately

This is something I have also tried but I got the same results. I'm guessing that the rotational values for models are hard-coded into the rendering engine. The smallest value I could get to work is 22.5, but than again, I haven't actually looked at the rendering code so I don't really know.

It's inconsistent. You should add this to short and tall grass.

I have previously considered this but came to the conclusion that with the random offset that the game gives flowers and grass it would be unnecessary. Here is a comparison of grass with and without random rotation: https://imgur.com/a/ElB9ZFz. The purpose of this pack is not to add random rotation to everything but to break up repetitive patterns. Thanks for the suggestion though.
