OPTIFINE NEEDED
Adds Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle, Acacia and Dark Oak Chests. To get one of these chests, rename a regular chest in an anvil to any of:
  • Oak Chest
  • Birch Chest
  • Spruce Chest
  • Jungle Chest
  • Acacia Chest
  • Dark Oak Chest
Feel free to modify the pack. These textures are extremely basic and I expect them to be improved. Feel free to publish these changes on your own. While you don't need to credit me, it would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I don't think that it's currently possible. It works with chests because they're classed as entities whereas barrels are blocks.
