Preface
Let's get this out of the way right now — Yes, what I am doing is most definitely plagiarism, and me posting this, as much I dislike saying it publishing this work implies I have created it. I originally created nothing except for two model files to resolve an appearance problem with using three separate packs and two texture files for making coal glow, merging them into one and uploading it as the ultimate vanilla 3D emissive ore resource pack. (I had since appended onto this pack with completely new Redstone textures, but that's about the extent of "Unique" content provided in this pack.)So give these two entries their due with likes and subs because I deserve neither for this content:
- MrJoshuaT's 3D ores
- KingRojoMx's emissive ores
- RickyMemester's emissive ores (see e801 changes)
Do it. Do it now.
Purpose
I created this amalgam of the two works above because of a third project; VanillaTweaks. Y'see, they've got this thing on vanillatweaks.net in their Utility category called Unlit Redstonee Ores but they include the unlit block as a new block model. Because of this, when using Joshua's 3D ores, even if the 3D ores are placed above VanillaTweaks in Minecraft's resource packs the unlit blockstate is used which doesn't have the 3D attributes applied to them. This pack is to do three things:
- Merge together two existing packs on Planet Minecraft for sake of creating a single resource pack which alters the appearance of ores to both be 3D and emissive.
- Add coal ore, which is missing in Rojo's pack since every other ore is illuminated.
- Add in 3D blocks for "Unlit" redstone ore so when a player interacts with the block's top face it doesn't suddenly become 3D, as it will already be 3D.
But to make that glow? That's Minecraft on a whole other level when you can explore and see the ores illuminated before you, adding onto Minecraft's magical appearance. It also probably is cheating. But the "Magical" appearance of having everything in a cave glow cannot be denied and it's what the kids want. Deal with it; cope and seethe; get whipped, nay-nayed and ratio'd.
Use
Before adding this pack, since this is going to replace / obsolete other works you should perform the following for your active resource packs:- Remove any existing vanilla emissive ore packs
- Remove any existing vanilla 3D ore packs
- Modify your copy of VanilaTweaks to not include "Unlit Redstone Ore"
Future
If you're reading this, it is very likely Planet Minecraft had either permitted me to keep this up or they simply do not care. The changes here are so minor — I could go out of my way to ask the authors of these works about including the changes I have here, or I can publish something to share with my friends now and make things in-future easier for people who are seeking emissive 3D vanilla ores.Figured I would take the act now, seek forgiveness later approach. Apologies to moderators in advance for the time they may spend removing this texture pack.

Also the redstone is completely different, that's the only unique thing I did because I took issue to lack of off state emissives and needed to remake them.
