With 1.17, all ores got a makeover so colorblind people can differentiate them. It was here I noticed that 5 of the dyes had the same shape: lime, dark gray, purple, magenta, and pink. I decided to keep lime as-is and redo the rest. I then decided to remake some of the other dyes that I wasn't really pleased with, which are all dyes added in 1.14 and light gray dye.

All changed dyes use the same styling as dyes like red, orange, yellow, etc, which are clumps within a shape. I drew a random shape (except for pink, which I reused the shape from the first version of raw copper), and then drew different outlines within that. I tried to make them all as visually different as possible so that colorblind people can differentiate them.

Uniform dyes packs already exist, so I'm probably not gonna go that route.

The issue is that I've done most that there are to do without getting absurd. All the ones I've made have some helpful purpose behind them, which is hard to achieve.

maybe something that makes particles and offhand items larger and therefore more obstrusive (like the opposite of vanilla tweaks unobstrusive packs)?

I've considered that, and it wouldn't be hard to do, however I don't have much motivation at the moment.

Tried this out after using the Vanilla Tweaks version, and I've got to say I like this a lot more in comparison. Great pack!

Yeah the thing about VT’s dyes is that they don’t feel vanilla. I styled mine off of older dyes like red, yellow, and green. VT’s were actually from a Reddit post and asked the guy for permission, which is not a very good way of doing it. I also didn’t like Jappa’s dyes that were added in 1.14, which were blue, black, brown, and white.
