I've always wanted connected planks but no one made any good vanilla packs that I've seen, and I don't want to get Optifine. I recently found out there's a way to make connected textures without it, so I made my wish come true!

This will add borders to planks, and two planks next to each other will connect. It also connects with other solid blocks, but I've tested it and I don't think I can do anything about it.
The borders are an overlay, so it will work with ANY TEXTURE PACK you have.
DOES NOT NEED OPTIFINE!!!!!

Particles are now take from the block's texture, not the outline's.

Vanilla Tweaks found a way to make Vanilla Ctm. I you know how to make texture packs, you can just mess around in the files of this one. Don't change ctm.json, but you can change the name of the planks.json files and the names of the blocks inside.

I can try! However, it doesn't work for glass or most see through blocks.

can you make the borders white and connect them to all the blocks like Dungeons? Also black like Legends.

I'm working on a texture pack to connect all blocks, butt you can also go into the planks.json files and change the textures in "base" and "all"

edit: Many blocks can't support the outline changes without serious reworking, so I can't make this idea

Thank you! If you look at the files, some planks actually have other plank textures on the sides, it was just smoother than the logs.
