Please install the required mod "BetaPixel Textures.jar" provided with the pack. It fixes the compass, clock and water colors.

BetaPixel: A pixel-perfect upgrade for Beta. This project completely overhauls the look of Beta while preserving its art direction. Items and textures should be immediately familiar to veterans but with a cleaner, more unified art style. This pack:
  1. Preserves the saturation, contrast and designs of the vanilla blocks. Cobblestone still looks chunky, netherrack still looks like flesh, iron still looks smooth. This pack focuses on preserving and polishing the art direction of Beta Minecraft.
  2. Brings a more consistent art style to the items. Items now share a single 30-color palette, giving them an old-school PC game feel. Items have been made larger and more vibrant, with most of them now fully filling up the frame and having a consistent scale.
  3. Converts the Kristoffer Zetterstand paintings to pixel art. Every painting has been faithfully recreated as pixel art as a love letter to Zetterstand's work. See familiar paintings with a new level of clarity that fits in perfectly with the game's graphics.
Future mod support is planned. Comment below to pitch beta mod/packs you would like to see supported!

this texture pack is really awesome but i cannot figure out how to get the mod to work with the game. the water is just permanently black unless i use optifine to set the water to dynamic, which just makes it the default texture. compass and clock work fine for me though

Hi there! I tried to use this pack in my BTA test world, but the game was treating some textures as though they were double the size, resulting in it pulling from the wrong spots and rendering it like this:

This could be an issue with BTA, but I don't know enough about these versions to make a definitive claim. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

yeah that's a problem with BTA, their texture packs are formatted differently i'm pretty sure. you'd have to either ask someone who knows how to or dragondeplatino to port this texture pack to BTA, or otherwise try it for yourself

Usually, I can unzip the pack and it works just fine, but I've tried repacking it, and Minecraft just can't see it.
