The Chasm. In a treacherous land where survival is nearly impossible, the people have united and created one of the greatest wonders known to mankind.

In the infinite desert, the sand is golden and blinding, and yet there is nothing. No water, no plants, no lesser life. And yet the world cursed as it is trapped humans in a single oasis god knows how long ago. The oasis was running dry, and the people could only live off of magic-made water and magic-born plants for so long. That was when one soul united the people to create the water-hole. Digging for generations until water welled at the bottom of a massive pit. A civilization was born. And this was the beginning of the Chasm.
Now the Chasm was autonomous. Livestock and crops thrived, a city was built in the Chasm walls. But the danger was not gone. The desert may not be home to lesser life, but it is to greater life. Sand wyrms. Draconic arthropods that create tunnels through the sandstone in their wake. Occasionally, they would dig through the Chasm Walls, finding fresh prey in the people. To counter this, all children who reach the age of 16 must go through a rite of age. They would be trained since 10, and then set off on a journey to grow stronger, to become a hero. Sometimes, the children do this by venturing out into the world. Rarely do they come back, but when they do, they almost always have succeeded.

"I bestow upon you this blade, Zaynab, our Jasmine flower. This is you're home, this is what will keep you safe, and fed. This will remind you of us, the Chasm, of family. Never let anyone take what keeps you grounded. Have a safe journey out there, my son."

You may notice that this lore is different from the "zayne . fragile grace" lore, and that's because they're... in different universes.
