The Warped Queen Elia beckons the young adventurer. Ever since that brat Arran destroyed her physical form, Elia had been searching for a suitable host to continue her reign. Humans revered Arran as a hero. Yet she was less than that. She was a maggot. A piece of vermin. And vermin must be gotten rid of.
The adventurer was promised gold and power beyond their wildest dreams. The ability to rule over an entire level of reality, free to shape to their will. All they had to do was pick the warped rose. As soon as they did that, the rose attached itself to the adventurer's head. They screamed in agony as the rose was stained red with their blood. A jagged crown of thorns wrapped itself around their head. Their vision flashed red, over and over... Until they collapsed. The heat of the Nether was unbearable.
Elia awoke in her new vessel, aware that she tricked the poor soul. Not very attractive, but she'll work it out. She flexed the Vessel's fingers, feeling their strength and smiled. This Vessel was powerful to have made it this far. But their journey ended here. She walked over with some difficulty to her castle. This was going to take some getting used to. But, eventually, she'll meet Arran again... and then she will pay for what she had done to Elia's beautiful physical form...
