No matter the Monster, no matter the Robber, no matter the Storm, no matter the Dark, My Bedcovers would always be there to provide protection. Nothing can get through them. 

So yeah, this is me playing off the habit people have when they are scared: jump in bed and cover up your head. We have so much faith in our bedsheets, maybe they really are inpenetrable and are working to protect us every night!

Basically, forget teddy bears and toys, my Bedcovers are my Childhood Hero.
