My entry for the Aztec and Egyptians contest!
Here's a short story behind this character:
Izel was 16 when he came across seemingly ancient ruins. After looking around in the ruins, he found what seemed to be a relic; unknown writing was delicately carved in the solid material, it seemed to have a natural glow coming from the inside and was warm to the touch. After a few years of studying the item, one evening, the world seemed to change within a matter of seconds. All of a sudden, he was in the middle of a bustling city at midday, one full of people he'd never seen. Some of these people were dressed in cloth of white or pale cream, some in nothing. Paces and paces ahead of him stood giant, odd-looking pyramids made of strange stone. As the sun began to set upon the horizon, the relic tucked into his robes slowly grew warmer until, suddenly, he was home once again as if nothing had happened.
This relic gave Izel the ability to travel between eras and, to his advantage, he used it to share information, religion, items and food, jewellery of all types and some of which he'd never even seen.
He eventually took over his parents' business and became one of the most well-known merchants in the land. Cloths that people had never seen were being sold, along with metals and foods that had never been to these lands before.
He travelled between Egyptian and Aztec temples: making money and gaining more and more fame.
This story is a way to show how I tied both eras into the skin!
The clothing he's wearing would be made of light materials. He's wearing so much because he's the son of two rich merchants; it's a way to show off what they offer.
The headpiece is a mix of both Egyptian & Aztec headpieces.

I love the colouring it looks so soft, the hair accesory is so unique and elegant AA, the clothes are so niice, and the story makes it better alltoghether, really makes the character that much more alive :0!
